The Wonder Woman movie has finally arrived, and the feedback so far seems to say that it was worth the wait. We already knew we would be seeing more of Diana in Justice League , but now there is already word about there being a Wonder Woman 2. So that means more adventures, more Amazons, and more about Diana's life; including her romantic life. It's a common comic book trope that heroes have to juggle a relationship with saving the world.

Then I saw this movie My 78 year old Father who introduced me to Wonder Woman at such a young and impressionable age Both of us were SO beyond happy with this film! Gal Gadot stole both of our hearts and admiration!

She is beyond talented and daaamn she kicks major boo-tay as Wonder Woman! Young and old, female and male. The storyline, character creation, acting and directing is outstanding! I love that a whole new generation of girls and boys have been given this gift of a powerful, courageous, graceful, amazing and yes, sexy new Wonder Woman! I am beyond thrilled I get to feel like a kid again and as an adult woman, celebrate this ground breaking character all over again!

Especially Chris Pine and the real woman herself, Gal Gadot! The acting is ok to bad as are the computer graphics. It just falls flat. Even good actors can look bad with a weak story and uninspired direction. I like most of the superhero films and the best ones treat the movie realistically and seriously and only add superhero elements. The worst just try too hard to entertain. This one tries too hard.

I made it an hour in and then shut it off. Pass if you require more from a film than graphics and desperate attempts to impress you. Usually they just have the woman act like a man and beat up a bunch of men to show how strong they are. They also bring down men at the same time by making them weak and foolish. Women can still be soft, emotional, feminine and strong. Many men have sacrificed their lives for God, family and country and that should never be minimized.

Both men and women can show their good and bad sides as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Not everything has to be politicized or made to satisfy activist groups. Just let the natural differences of both be seen at their best and worst. Just be real. A near perfect movie. Up to this point, I had watched all of the DCEU movies and have been entertained, but not particularly impressed.

After Suicide Squad, my hopes were lessened, but still present. After seeing the film twice I can confidently say it is one of, if not the greatest super hero movies ever made. Wonder Woman is a very focused and purposeful superhero movie. There isn't a single scene that feels like filler and you can tell Patty Jenkins knows exactly what kind of story she wants to tell.

The film balances action and adventure with social commentary very well and is almost flawlessly executed. The setting in puts us in a time when women were on the verge of revolution, and the presence of Diana clashing with patriarchal ideals is not only historically logical, but elevates the film to a modern allegory.

It's one of those movies that follows superhero tropes and Joseph Campbell's heroes journey, but keep things fresh so it never once feels derivative. Gal Gadot is absolutely fantastic and gives one of most sincere superhero performances ever captured on film. She is able to communicate her characters thoughts and emotions without words, she has a powerful and commanding presence, she is elegant and intellectual, she is witty and clever. But at this point in her life she is also naive and does not understand the world as much as she thinks she does.

You can see a clear distinction between the way she carries herself in Batman V Superman compared to Wonder Woman, further showcasing Gal Gadot's subtle and dedicated performance. In this movie, she is still relatively young and must learn a valuable lessons that mankind can be good and that evil does not come from only one source. A very powerful and inspiring message, especially in these troubled times.

It was very smart to not cast an American actress or make Gal change her accent. She is a Greek Goddess and should not be a "girl next door" type. This is one of the most serendipitous casting decisions ever made, she was born to play Wonder Woman. I am not a big superhero fan, but the second time I saw this movie it effected me just like when I returned to see Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. I found myself tearing up during a few scenes because we have never seen a woman with this kind of power on film before.

After her scene in No Man's Land, the audience in my theater clapped and then when the people in the movie clapped for her, the audience clapped AGAIN! Something that just doesn't happen at the movies anymore, unless it's a franchise with 40 years of films like Star Wars. Wonder Women will go down in history with The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 2 as one of the best and most culturally significant superhero movies ever. The bar has been raised for all superhero studios.

Wonder Woman is essential viewing for not only superhero fans, but film buffs and fans of the action epic. The first time I saw the movie, I had very few qualms, and most of those are no longer issues to me. All of them were little things like "I wish we could see this", "a little too much CGI at the end". Any and all issues with the film is not the movies problem and is simply a matter of personal taste because it is a near perfect movie.

There are no objectively bad executions with the movie like there were with the previous DCEU films. If you don't like it, then that is without a doubt your problem, because as a lover of films and not superheros, it's near perfect film-making and I will not be surprised if this gets nominated for Oscars, it deserves them.

As a man, I am not only proud to have a Wonder Woman to look up to, but proud to see that hollywood has made such a landmark achievement in women's film history. There was a coherent story, with a beginning, middle, and end - something which seems to be missing from many CGI-heavy films these days. I watched it all the way through without pausing once which is a good sign since I usually start to get bored before we're half way through and need to go make a cuppa, and check the internet for excitement.

So yes, it's worth a watch. Being a fan of Wonder woman the first time round i wasnt convinced that anyone could replace Linda carter, but i have to say how wrong i was. This film just blew me away. If anything WW is pro-men or more accurately pro-mankind. Brill, brill and brill! The final battle is just awesome and the mythological backbone based on Greek Mythology is philosophically stimulating.

Worth buying in Blu-ray. This, I think of the Steels released for this film is the best of the lot. Too bad I had to order outside the country, however, I'm thankful of the availability and cooperation of the seller.

Looks extremely great in hand, as photos do not do it justice.

Chris Pine Will Stand By and Be Supportive While Wonder Woman Saves the World

Wonder Woman and Superman have long seemed like they'd make a nice match they both have blue eyes and blue-black hair, they're both superheroes with similar powers, they wear matching costumes. But maybe they look a little too much alike to work? In any case, since one or both of them are usually romantically entangled elsewhere, any dalliances between Superman and Wonder Woman have been very brief and occurred in their pasts or in alternate timelines where Lois Lane is dead. In official DC canon, however, Superman and Wonder Woman have always remained just really good friends that is, until this October's Justice League 12, in which Geoff Johns and Jim Lee will see the two heroes begin what's promised to be a substantive relationship. Following our exploration of some of Superman's former flames , it's time to check out the Amazing Amazon's past dance cards.

Wonder Woman is a superhero from DC comics who has her own series as well as being a regular member of the Justice League, she is an Amazon who fights crime with aid from her bullet-proof wristbands, magical-lasso and superhuman-strength, and the ability to fly. Despite being a main protagonist with her own love interest , Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman has been depicted as having romantic feelings for other men. Most notably is her Justice League colleague, Superman, and to a lesser extent, some attraction to Batman. She has also been briefly involved with civilian, Trevor Barnes, and work colleague, Tom Tresser, aka Nemesis.

Superman and Wonder Woman are the Biggest Couple in Comics

Will Wonder Woman rush off to save a city while her man lingers behind, like Superman did in Man of Steel? Will she make a date with her co-worker hunk only to be tragically separated, like Captain America did? Will she get all the good lines, have all the fun, and star in the crossover Justice League movie while her love interest is contractually obligated to stay out of it? We have no idea yet—like any good future tentpole, the details of Wonder Woman are still super-secret. But Warner Bros. In the comics, Trevor has been a government agent, a super-spy, and even a member of the Justice League which also includes Batman, Superman, and Green Lantern , though he has no superpowers. The comics have often had fun reversing the gender expectations of the superhero genre, allowing Wonder Woman to rescue her boyfriend much in the way damsels have been plucked out of danger for decades. It would be more progressive for the Wonder Woman movie to ditch that stereotype, to create Steve Trevor as a well-rounded, participatory character and prove to the other movies how easy it is to create a love interest who really matters.

Wonder Woman, Vol. 1: Who is Wonder Woman?

The relationship between Superman and Wonder Woman has been stretched across many years. Both are members of the Justice League and are perhaps two of the strongest superheroes in the DC Universe. Whether they are battling aliens or demons, they are always able to pull out a win when they work together. Despite this, there is so much more to their relationship that is beneath the surface.
