Christine National's cousin had a successful lineage many years ago. Christine isn't exactly competitive, but she doesn't want her line to die out with her. Besides, she and Freddie get along well, they make plenty of combined money, and now they live in a large mansion after moving. The time is right for parenthood!

Parent reviews for The Sims 4. Common Sense says Complex, realistic life simulator includes sexuality, death. Based on our expert review. Based on 56 reviews. Based on reviews. Add your rating. Parents say 56 Kids say Parent Written by jdub22 June 13, I was worried from Sims 2, a game I have played before, that it would be way to inappropriate.
I was highly impressed with the way it has upgraded. Yes, the sims can have "sex" but nothing is shown. While they're doing this act, you can't even see the sims at all. All you see is a blanket. They do kiss, but it's not nearly as bad as any kids television or movie kiss scenes. This game is a great experience for kids. It show them how to handle money well. This title contains: Positive Messages. Positive role models.
This review Helped me decide 3. Had useful details 2. Read my mind 5. Report this review. Christian perspective. Establishes fiscal responsibilityThis aspect is often overlooked in the formal education of modern children.
This is a real-life simulation in which they learn experience, since: would you rather than make a financial mistake in the sims or in real life? This prepares them for all of that and so much more. Every week, a bill is delivered to a residence, and if not paid within 48 hours, the electricity and water are restricted in the building until payment is made. Players must learn to manage their money if they wish to succeed in the game, including budgeting in order to buy residences at realistic prices, furnishing their home with expensive appliances, purchasing food, and, overall, the preponderance of activities cannot be completed without some fee, replicating real-life situations.
Minimum violence for those worried about violence in the game, that should not be a concern on your mind. This is only one aspect of the game, and, in addition, it is cartoonified, in other words, it is not realistic like the games mentioned above.
In the Sims 4, as in life, characters eventually die or may die from factors such as drowning, electrocution, hunger, fire, rocket ship crash landing, old age, overexertion, cowplant, embarrassment, anger, and hysteria. Unlike other games which show blood, decapitations, shooting, murders, knife injuries, etc. Creative aspects the Sims 4 enhances creativity by allowing you to design houses, create your own sims, determine their lives, create unique families, etc.
For those children who aspire to pursue architecture or other creative aspects, even if just a hobby or an interest, this helps them persevere this. They can design houses and expand their creativity beyond a piece of paper and something more sophisticated. Many of the parents critiquing the game don't realize this is one of the aspects that takes up a large portion of the game.
The game is rated for teens If your child is over 13 years old, they are in the ideal demographic for the game, and should most definitely be allowed to play it.
They are allowed to use this game according to the manufactures view, who are also parents. Trust If you trust your child that they will make the right decisions, then, no matter their age, they should be allowed to play it. When you let your children wander into the world, they have all of these options, hence the real-life simulation. They can smoke, drink, have sex, do any of these things in the world, but they aren't.
If you trust they won't do that in the real world, they won't do it in this one either. This game is very innocent, everything is confined to be appropriate for all children. Therefore, it should be allowed for both teens and maybe even smaller children. Everything is an opportunity in life, and, consequently, in this game. In addition, would you rather your child make the wrong decisions in the game, or the wrong decisions in real life, which will cost them their life.
Ultimately, it all comes down to you, your child, and your relationship. If they are a teenager that is mature, responsible, and someone with who you have established trust between, then they should absolutely get the game. The game is very innocent, and other parents who think otherwise are worried either because they have no trust or because their child behaves irresponsibly. Compared to what kids are doing these days and watching these days, this is nothing.
A mere game. Had useful details 1. Read my mind 3. Adult Written by Realistic Mama March 24, Mature Content My 8 almost 9 year old has been asking for this game for a year. This content is far too mature. The fairies are clearly 21 and up or acting like they are. They are at the bar, with a bartender mixing drinks at their request, trying to pick up boys, and having house parties I will not be allowing my daughter to purchase or play this game until who knows when - definitely not in the near future.
The concept is fun and creative, but the storylines need to be WAY more innocent for her age group. This title contains: Ease of Play. Helped me decide 2. Had useful details 3. Read my mind 1. Adult Written by Katie March 9, Parents Worried About Sex Yes this game has sex in it, but your child controls everything that their sims do.
If you trust that your kids you should let them get this game. It also teaches kids responsibility and how to use money. I think that your kids should be able to play the sims 4! Had useful details. Adult Written by Mike M December 23, The Sims 4 is less fun than previous installment, surprisingly contains more mature content. The Sims 4 is admittedly less fun than The Sims 3 as it lacks a number of features from its predecessor.
Therefore, in terms of playability, it takes a few steps back. For one, the beloved toddler life stage has been removed, meaning that players can no longer care for and play with infant Sims. Moreover, the Create-a-Style tool is absent, so players no longer have access to the same depth of customization that made the third game a hit. With that being said, the game still comes out with regular updates or "patches" which can be automatically downloaded. These updates add in cool new features pools and Christmas items were added recently that enhance the gameplay experience.
The Sims 4, like all the games in the life-simulation franchise, is very easy to pick up and play. Therefore, it is a great experience for younger gamers and more casual gamers as well. Basically, The Sims 4 is a point-and-click experience.
It is an extremely engaging one, though. Now that an emotions system has been implemented, the Sims are more lively and responsive than ever before. The Sims are now able to multitask, and cause and effect relationships are stronger than they were in previous games.
Because the game seeks to mimic real life, players will unavoidably come in contact with themes such as death, the supernatural, love affairs, child birth, and so on. Parents should not be worried, as the content remains light-hearted and has a comical feel to it. The graphics in the game are also more cartoony this time around, appealing to the younger ones.
The female clothing options are surprisingly racier in this game, and there is an option to enhance breast and buttocks size using the new grab and pull feature.
It came as quite a shock to me to see that there are several more "Romantic" interactions in this game, including a wider variety of kissing styles and suggestive interactions. It might come as a relief to some knowing that the hot tub has been removed in the game, but it will likely be included in a future expansion pack.
However, woohoo sexual intercourse is still present. In the end, it is up to the player to decide what activities they want their Sim characters to partake in. The game intentionally does not take itself very seriously; it is a wacky experience where players can take control of life in hundreds of ways. If you believe that your younger teenager is mature enough to handle the game, then it shouldn't be a problem.
The June update for The Sims 4 added more gender options for Sims. One of those options is if the Sim will be able to be pregnant or be able to impregnate other Sims. With this option same-sex couples will be able to become pregnant and have children with no adoption or mods required! If you already have a same-sex couple in your game and you want them to have kids, follow these easy steps demonstrated by the Larson family and the Matson Family:. On the outside I'm a 20 year old boy.

The Sims 4: Gender Customization, Same Sex Pregnancy, and Unisex Clothing
The Sims 4 has made quite a few things that have been brought to the franchise by older games better. Unfortunately, babies and pregnancy are a bit of a lackluster feature in The Sims 4 , even years after the game's release. Aside from a few special interactions and mood buffs, it's easier to just fast-forward through the pregnancy and baby stage. Updated on February 12th, by Anastasia Maillot: With talk of The Sims 5 surfacing, the franchise could be bringing back better pregnancies and more immersive babies in its next installment for the game. However, as we wait for more information, custom content is the best way to expand on pregnancy. In hopes of one day seeing better pregnancy mechanics in The Sims 5, we've chosen three additional mods to present, which will significantly improve any Simmer's pregnancy gameplay experience. One of the most exciting things about having a baby is wondering what their gender will be.
The advanced gender customization box can be found in the upper left corner of the screen when entering Create-a-Sim. Once selected, there will be four new game options for you to customize: Physical Frame, Clothing Preference, Pregnancy, and Toilet Use. These Sims will not randomize with any of their default physiques, clothing preferences, pregnancy and toilet use options changed, unless you change them yourself. This will take you into full edit mode. The following four gender customization options allow your Sims to be truly unique based on what you select for them:.

The Sims 4 Tutorial: How to Get Same-Sex Couples Pregnant
This just happened to me today, my pregnant sim had a baby boy when I intended for her to have a baby girl. Every time I tried again it's still a baby boy, I had her eat strawberries and listen to pop music like many sites say in order to have a girl. Please, someone, help me. Go to Solution.
Another belief: carrying high leads to a girl, while carrying low is a boy. Surprisingly, superstitions like these can be found within games like The Sims , too. Sims players have held weird beliefs about sim pregnancies for years now, and much of it seems to stem from the need for control. In my experience with T he Sims , I always wanted to manage the gender of my sim kids. Girls not only had better clothes in the base game, most of the mods I cared about were for better makeup, and better hair.

Just like in real life, pregnancy is a popular way for Sims to There are many ways to play the game and you don't need to have Sim babies if you don't want to; however, if you plan on playing a legacy game with multiple generations of the same Sim family, you'll probably want to have your Sims trying for babies pretty regularly. It's not just a simple case of engaging in WooHoo - there's pregnancy odds to consider, genders, twins and triplets, where to give birth, as well as considering adoption.
